Show Dixie College Teachers To Meet On Wed. Sept. First Registration Days Set For September 7, 8; New Courses Offered To Students The Dixie college school year will be ushered in Wednesday, September 1, with the first meeting meet-ing of the college faculty. A general meeting for all teachers will be held at 4 p.m. on the date mentioned. The purpose of this meeting is to outline the policies tor the year, to make a final check of the schedule, and to make all necessary plans for the efficient registration of students. The following day the heads of the divisions will meet to work out the details for registration and student guidance. Following this meeting there will be one for the sponsors of orientation work. It is hoped that as a result of these meetings the personal needs of the students will be well satisfied. Registration days have been set for Sept. 7 and 8. The upper division students will register on the former date and the lower division students on the latter. All students are urged to register at this time. Time schedules will be available immediately after the faculty meeting of September 1. Adult Education The Dixie junior college is offering of-fering unusual opportunities for adult education this year. Citizens of the community will do well to consider the courses that are offered. offer-ed. Three special courses, to be given in the evening, are already announced to begin the opening week of school. Other corses will be added. One of the courses that should help to fill an important local need is the one in Conducting. Besides these courses, and others that may be organized foi the public, all regular courses will be open to the citizens who are interested. The recent legislature reduced tuition for special students so that more patrons should be interested in the offerings of the college. The college authorities will be glad to furnish additional information to those interested. |
