Show 1 Former Temple Worker Dies At Home In Alton At Ninety-seven Years of Age Word was received only this week of the death at his home in Alton, April 18, of Robert Bodily, aged 97 last March 9th. Mr. Bodily was a Blackhawk Indian war veteran and an active pioneer in the settlement set-tlement of Uintah county, where he has resided most of his life, until he came to St. George to do Temple work in 1925. While here he met and married Amanda Heaton Palmer and has since spent the summers at her former home in Alton and until this year, they have spent the winter in St. George. Funeral services for Mr. Bodily were held in the Alton ward chapel Monday, April 21st, and burial was in the Alton cemetery. Mrs. Bodily survives along with several sons and daughters in northern Utah, by his former marriage, mar-riage, also a large posterity of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. |
