Show HANDCART PIONEER, DIXIE SETTLER, DIES AT FARMINGTON Farmington, June 2. Mrs. Annie Stratford Robinson, 83, handcart pioneer of Farmington and of the Dixie country died at her home here Saturday morning. Mrs. Robinson was born in Essex England, May 4, 1843. She joined the church' in 1860, and in company with Pres. Charles W. Penrose and her parents, came to America, crossing cross-ing the plains to Utah. She married Oliver L. Robinson Jn 1862, the couple moving to Farming-ton Farming-ton as part or the first group of settlers. set-tlers. Later she and her husband spent a number of years settling Dixie Dix-ie at the request of President Brig-ham Brig-ham Y'oung. -Deseret News. |
