Show LADIES C. OP C. AUXILIARY DIRECTORS APPOINT OFFICERS The newly elected directors of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Chamber of Commerce met on Friday May 3rd and elected their officers as follows: Helen Reichmann, president; Florence Beck, vice-president, and Irene Cox, secretary and treasurer. Committees, and their chairmen were appointed as follows: fol-lows: Finance, Lydia Prince, chairman, Effie Judd, Lucile Gates; Amusement, Rose A. Andrus, An-drus, chairman, Emma Crosby, Edna Pack. President Helen Reichmann reports that a membership drive for new members was begun this week and that they have had a very splendid response. However, those making the drive feel that there are many ladies in the community that should join who haven't affiliated themselves with the organization at this time. They point out the great need lor funds so that they may be enabled to put over a real year cf civic improvements. As yet, a definite project for the coming year has not been decided, states Mrs. Reichmann. Reich-mann. It was voted, however, to let the last year's directors finish the project which they started -that of numbering the streets and houses of the city. Last year's group have the money mon-ey available for this work and plan to complete the project in the near future. The first meeting for the members, mem-bers, will be announced as soon as the membership drive is completed. |
