Show Washington Caddie Neilson Lydia Stephens Reporters Erlyne Paxman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Haven Paxman, left (C) last Thursday for Salt Lake City where she entered the L.D.S. hospital hos-pital to be treated for an infected in-fected knee from which she has suffered for the past few months. Monday, the parents were informed inform-ed the leg would have to be amputated, am-putated, the operation being performed per-formed Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Paxman left Monday for Salt Lake to be with their daughter. Mrs. Lyle Bigler and daughters Roene and Carolyn of Nephi were visiting here with relatives Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Iverson and baby visited with Mr. Iver-son's Iver-son's mother. Mrs. E. M. Iverson from Friday until Sunday, leaving to spend the winter in Sun Valley, Idaho. Lynn Paxman and his mother, Mrs. Minnie W. Paxman, arrived Tuesday from El Segundo, Calif., to spend a week with relatives. Mr and Mrs. Reed Anderson of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Matilda Sorenson of St. George were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Isreal Neilson Sr. Antone Neilson and John Adams made a business trip to Salt Lake City the latter part of the week. Mr and Mrs. Frank Staheli have returned from McDermitt, Nev., where they have been for the past two months. Mr and Mrs. George Dewey and Mr. and Mrs. Varcel Dewey of Deweyville were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Dewey Tuesday. Mrs Bessie Hamilton of San Francisco and Mrs. Florence Farrer of Booneville, Calif., are in Washington with their mother, Mrs H M. Jolley, who is seriously ill Mrs. Maggie Hartley of Leeds, another daughter, is also here. Mr and Mrs. John E. Keats of Overton, Nev., spent Wednesday Wednes-day with their sister, Mrs. Caddie Neilson. Mr and Mrs. Earl White of Venice, Calif., spent Thursday and Friday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Neilson Sr. and other "Misses Phyllis Nisson. Inez Larson and Thora Tobler w, h Mrs Iva Harmon and inme Seegmiller entertained Sunday ntht of last week with a bridal shower for Miss Beth Stephens at the home of Ph., 'His Nisson. Various games made up the entertainment, enter-tainment, after which refreshments refresh-ments were served. : 'any nice eifts were received by Miss Stephens. j |
