Show CHARLES SEEGMILLER OBSERVES BIRTHDAY "Uncle" Charles Seegmiller observed ob-served his 9 2nd birthday, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, January 2, by spending a quiet day at home with his family. Despite his age he is still active and has one of the finest and best kept lots in town. It is a pleasure to visit his home and see the beautiful garden gar-den he has and he can always be seen working about in it. Mr. Seegmiller was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, a son of Adam and Eve Knecthel Seegmiller. Seeg-miller. His father died when he was a young man and accompanied ac-companied by his mother he came to Utah in 18 66 settling in Salt Lake City. He was married mar-ried in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City in 18 68 to Miss Minnie Forsythe. They made itheir home there until Mr. Seegmiller Seeg-miller was called to help settle the Muddy Valley. They remained remain-ed there until 1871 when that mission was closed and then went to Sevier where they remained until 187 5 when due to the condition con-dition of his mother's health they came to St. George to care for her. They lived on the lot the Seegmiller house .now stands on. Mrs. Seegmiller passed away in 1913 after living a beautiful life of service and faithfulness. Mr. Seegmillr has been active during his entire life in religious relig-ious and public work. He has a great many friends and lives to merit their friendship. They all join in wishing him many more happy years. His nine children are living in St. George. They are: Charles W., Hela, and Mrs. Eve Starr, Mrs. Minnie Ahlstrom and Miss Fern Seegmiller. Seeg-miller. Also forty-four grandchildren grand-children and twenty-three great grandchildren. |
