Show HARRY SLACK, INFANT SON OF EDWIN SLACK, DROWNS IN DITCH SATURDAY, MAY 11 TOQUERVILLE, May 13 Harry Thurston Slack, one year old son of Edwin K. and Louise Thurston (Slack was drowned in the water ditch Saturday, May 11th, at one o'clock. He had been playing with the children and was missed only a few minutes until a search was made and he was found in the 'ditch about 100 feet from the family home. Artificial respiration respira-tion was given him and he was rushed to the doctor, who had been phoned to meet the car. Dr. Mclntyre met them in La Verkin where he worked over the child for three-quarters of an hour but nothing could be done. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. under the direction of Bishop Leo Bringhurst. The services were as follows: song, ladies chorus; prayer, Seymor Stapler, violin solo, Blanch Lamb; speaker speak-er Bishop Walter H. Slack; solo, ?dona Smith; speaker Arc ne Kleinman; solo, Harvey A. Jackson; Jack-son; speaker, James A. Judd singing, ladies chorus; praer, Alvin Englestead. Interment was made in the Toquerville cemetery, ceme-tery, the grave being dedicated by Elder Leon L. Slack. Baby Harry is survived by his parents, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Slack of Toquerville Toquer-ville and Mrs. Kathenne Thurston Thurs-ton of Salt Lake City and the following brothers and sisters: Kenneth, Evelyn. Ben, Betty. Carlyle and Ruth. |
