The treasurer of the Pleasant Valley Coal arapan; has issued the following statement regarding the casualties as a result of the mine explosion: Mr. Y. G. Sharp reports the actual casualties at Winter Quarters as follows: fol-lows: Total number killed, 199. Total number injured. 7. Of the killed. 105 bodies have been recovered and four bodies are yet in the mine. One hundred and fourteen were buried at SeoGeld, sixty-nine were shipped to points in Utah, and twelve to points out of Utah. Of the large number of coffins sent to Seofield. fifty will be shipped back empty to the undertakers. Of the 1 -in graves dug, and fourteen partly dug, only 114 were used. The discrepancies between the data given above and reports of newspaper correspondents are no doubt due to duplications made by the latter during the excitement of the great calamity. In addition to the above victims of this disaster, there remain 105 widows and '.'TO orphau children, whose destitution desti-tution and wail's appeal to the charitable charit-able impulses of the great public.
