And we want you to scare the pens out of our hands. Anyone can enter. All you have to do is write a short Halloween story (somewhere between one-sentence and 1500 words, illustrated if desired) that will scare us speechless. Then send it to The Wasatch County Courier, 525 S. Main Street, Heber City, UT 84032, ‘and we'll enter you in our contest. A panel of frightening local judges will choose the winners in each of the following five categories: Goblins—ages 6 and under, Gremlins—ages 7-11, Ghosts—ages 12-15, Ghouls—ages 16 and up, and Ghastly Groups—any group of two or more people (classrooms, offices, families, clubs). : | | tal a=] metal haga (ii (swee oe eleMe Cee UC me =tant sien] elim dalla oreo inl ae milla ole Melaae ent, original story and must be accompanied by a cover sheet (including your name, age, phone number and category entering); please include your phone number on each page of text. Illustrated stories are encouraged. Winning stories in each category will be published in The Courier throughout the month of October and will be featured at the Heber Valley Arts Council’s Arts Sampler. And of course, there will be treats (to be announced) for the winners. All entries must be received by The Courier by 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 1999.
