Her native Caribbean cooking was augmented as she grew up in had friends from Guatemala, Africa, India, and many other places, and native dishes from their countries." Along with her cooking, Dr. LaQuinte also likes to ' travel and she often has the opportunity to try new dishes and bring home new recipes to try. When she graduated from medical school last year, Dr. LaQuinte found her travels bringing her to Vernal, Utah and DinosaurLand Pediatrics. "Everyone made the transition here very easy--the administrative staff, the nurses, and everyone who works at the hospital. I found that Ashley Regional has more of a personal touch, that the staff really cares about who their patients are. It's just more of a community and family feel." Dr. LaQuinte is one of over 30 physicians working at Ashley Regional Medical Center. With more physicians planned, the hospital is constructing a new Medical Office Building that should be completed com-pleted late this summer. As the population of Northeast Utah grows, the hospital and physicians at Ashley Regional are working to provide local access to quality care.
