PP p i&bW&VXte aL . 4 v i , v Sf P ? i r m is-- V ? p ,s gSSf , Overflow crowds packed the Uintah High School auditorium both Friday, Dec. 6 and Monday, Dec. 9 to see Taunias School of Dance production v of Oliver. ' A LIVELY high The cast of about 200 young dancers attracted family members, friends and others who cheered, clapawed throughout the ped and show. Taunia Wheeler used the story of Oliver Twist as a basis of her fast moving plot presented with dance, song and mime. The main roles were shared by pairs of students for each performance and fast costume changes gave several of the dancers multiple identities in the play. From the comical antics of the tiny skunks, dolls, tumblers, doggers and S. stepping dance with lifts and dips was performed by these youngsters. animal crackers to the touching performances of the Corps De Ballet, Oliver had something that everyone especially enjoyed. The stage presence of the dances was noteworthy as were the costumes, set and technical work for such a mammoth cast and lengthy performance. Taunia organizes and produces a production of this sort every other year. The outstanding talent and dedication of her students and the support of the students parents are building a wealth of fine young actors and dancers in the local community. Most city and county officials concur with the UDOT and UHP that a port of entry is necessary, however, not everyone can agree on the exact location. Highway 40 and State Road 191 are the most likely candidates for a port While in Vernal this week, Gunderson, Lindgren and Pendleton visited the Jensen area and the westside of the county and are planning to scout out locations between Vernal and Manila.
