They joined over 10,000 cities and towns across America collecting food donations left by mailboxes and participated in the 1 1th annual National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) food drive. Saturday, postal customers left food items by their mailboxes before their letter carrier delivered mail. Some donations were left at the post office. Food was weighed at the post office and delivered to the Ashley Valley Food Pantry where it will be available to local families. The NALC National Food Drive is the largest one-da- y food drive in the country and has resulted in the delivery of more than a half billion pounds of food donations to community food banks and pantries over the past 10 years.
