She was honored at the BPW's monthly dinner with a certificate and numerous gifts. Jean retired from the Postal Service after 33 years of deliver-1 deliver-1 ing rural mail and now continues to fill her time with volunteer work for many organizations. She is involved with the His-I His-I toric Preservation Board, and officer of PEO, and has helped : with Trees for Charity and the Jensen Pumpkin Festival. She has been a pink lady volunteer at the Ashley Regional Medical Medi-cal Center for many years, has helped children learn to read in after school programs, and ; gad always been active with her , church. Jean was raised in Salt Lake City, met Garl Gardiner when he returned from World War II; they married and moved to Vernal where they raised five children. Following Garl's untimely death Jean later married Don Smith. Jean taught all her children the importance of helping other s and continues those lessons with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There are many purposes of the BPW organizations and Jean has been actively working to elevate the standards of women in business and professions and to bring about a spirit of cooperation coopera-tion among business and professional profes-sional women since she joined in 1976. y ? Angel is a six and a half year old Persian. She is spayed and de-clawed. She is sweet natured and current on all her vaccinations. He enlisted in the Army in July 2007 and was stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., for his Basic and Advanced Infantry Training. Train-ing. He graduated in November. He is now with the 1st Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division from Ft. Campbell, Ky., which will be stationed approximately 120 miles north of Baghdad.
