Show 4 01 0 4 N 14 1 11 4 41 M M COOK funeral conducted funeral for F or mccook MM at M cook held monday funeral rites were held monday at 11 am a m in vernal third ward chapel for michael moroni cook 77 under the direction of the bishopric with aaron jolley conducting mr cook died last thursday in uintah county hospital after a brief illness prayer at the mortuary was offered by william cook prelude and postlude music was played by dorothy jolley walter woolley offered invocation and the opening song 0 my father was sung by a quartet consisting of alice woolley elizabeth and glade and dwayne case first speaker was ralph A bryson followed by a duet beautiful land sung by glade and elizabeth second speaker was harmon S and a trio alice woolley pat stewart and elizabeth sang beyond the sunset with a reading accompaniment by evlyn richardson remarks were given by aaron jolley closing song was I 1 going home sung by glade and benediction was offered by richard ufford burial was in the vernal memorial park cemetery the grave was dedicated by llyl lloyd crapo asp pallbearer pallbearers Pall bearers were all grandsons of the deceased james and llo howard waird crofts bruce crapo Itic richard haird cook donald and arnold ut ford mr cook was born march 29 25 1884 in salt lake city a son of william and clydl a hartle cook at the age of nine mr cook moved with his family to vernal ills his father worked as a carpenter and builder by trade and soon established a lumber mill in the west part of vernal which served as the foundation for the family industry of building construe tion michael and his brothers thoroughly learned the building trade and became accomplished craftsmen during the many years in this business mr cook constructed or assisted in the construction of many buildings throughout this area including the stake tabernacle ile he married lydia ellen hardy november 2 1905 1005 in the salt lake temple they made their home borne in vernal and were parents of four girls and three boys in 1921 mr cook became employed by the raven OU oil company at It angely Ran gely colorado where he worked as superintendent erin for many yle years and in december 1957 he r retired during his life he was active in sunday school and priesthood work of the church ile he Is survived by his wife vernal two sons and three daughters eldon 11 II urbana ohio wallace chico calif mrs james D lamarr crofts salt lake city mrs airs lloyd 11 II linnie Ll nnie cravo crapo orem utah and mrs richard eeroberta ER E roberta oberta ufford vernal also 28 grandchildren and nd 14 grandchildren great |
