A. Dawson Will Speak At Friday CC Meet The Granger-HuntChamber of Commerce will hold its monthly meeting Friday morning, 7 a.m. at the Pizza Hut, 3207 West 3500 South. Mr. T. R. Broyn, president, advised the meeting is open to all business men in the Granger-Hunte- r area. Business promotions and other community problems will be discussed. Mr. William A. Dawson will be the speaker. Mr. Dawson is a former congressman and now is president of the Bank of Kearns. er The presentation will be under the direction of Dr. David A. Shand and will feature Ronald Christensen, who will sing the tenor lead, Warren Wood, will sing bass, Jean Preston, soprano and Beryl Jensen 'Smiley contralto. The production will feature a chorus of 200 voices according to Mrs. Melvin T. Oscarson, Messiah chairman. A orchestra will accompany the chorus and many of the Utah Symphony Orchestra members will play. The committee in charge requests The Kearns Fine Arts Foundation families try and sit together and will present the annual Messiah keep the children from running up at the Kearns Junior High School, and down the aisles. President Bob Harrison said the DSA has been conducted nationally since 1938 with two major objectives: (1) to publicly honor young men between the ages of 21 and 36 for outstanding service to the community, state and nation, and (2) to call attention to the vital and important role of all young men in improving their communi-ties- The Harlem Stars are unique in the fact they never try to run up a huge score against opponents. It is their policy to keep the game close, devoting much time to comedy stuff. The Harlem Stars enjoy playing basketball every day even if they have to travel hundreds of miles to do so.
