Show Monday, Dec. 5 The Utah State Aggies played fan-less for the first three minutes of their men's basketball game against Denver last week. The fans, censured for their derogatory and obscene behavior during a BYU game, retaliated by remaining silent for the first three minutes of the home game. The Aggies lost 67- Wednesday, Dec. 7 54, ending their 33 homegame winning streak. "Contours of Knowledge" Interdisciplinary Conference Grant Smith, an engineering professor at the University of Utah, was caught viewing child pornography in-flight and was arrested upon arrival in Boston. Smith's house was raided by Utah law enforcement and the university placed him on leave. Bail was set by the Boston court at $75,000 and Smith is due in court on Dec. 27. Elephant's Graveyard by George Brant A couple from Pentaluma, CA has bought the famous "Up" house in Herriman, UT. Built from blueprints sketched totally from details in the Disney film, the house attracted the couple with its bright pastel paintjob and sold for $400,000. County were damaged due to 140 mph wind, which attacked Los Angeles, Las Vegas and other U.S. southwestern states on Dec. 1. L.A. County has declared a state of emergency due to the continued destruction caused by the winds. The winds caused major delays at the Las Vegas airport, but the delays have finally improved. The winds have caused major power outages throughout Los Angeles, including a partial outage at the Los Angeles International airport. In New York, a man pleaded guilty on Nov. 30 to four counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, three counts of assault and a few counts of robbery. Maksim Gelman, 23, went on a 28 hour stabbing rampage, killing four people and injuring at least five others. Three of the victims were his stepfather, mother and girlfriend.
