July 1 - 4 Freedom Festival Provo Center Street July 1 - 4 Colonial Heritage Festival SCERA park Hello readers, For the record, I love Utah Valley. I know the arguments against it. I know that some wish to get out as soon as they finish school. But me? I transplanted here and let my roots sink deep. The turning point for me was my first summer when I realized how much was available for my experience. This point, that summer in Utah Valley brings so many good things, brings to front the sad realization that there are too many good things here to even talk about each week. If we could, we would have great stories within these pages about the Velour's Battle of the Bands, Freedom Festival and the Colonial days, in addition to the things we've chosen to highlight that fit with our schedule. To accommodate that which our publication schedule and physical copy deems finite or awkward though, we have the Internet and Twitter. That's right folks, The V just got a lot more social. We want to talk to you, share your stories, get your input and know how we're doing. So when you're looking at the Farmer's Market article and are still confused about what a tomato should look like, we have an illustration of that for you on the website, in color. If you want event updates, we've got that for you too. And some occasional humor? Maybe. Tweet us, people. @vmagazineeditor An apple because everything looks cooler when you bite an apple after... hmmm... that sounded better before I wrote that down. Jarom Moore, Managing Editor A watermelon. My mom said I had a head like one when I was born. Matt Petersen, Sports Editor An apple. They're just good, juicy and sweet. Carly Montgomery, Lead Designer I would be a tomato. I'd be ambiguous and confuse people all across the world. Sterling Gray, Columnist I am a starfruit. Because they're exotic, just like me. I'm not from Utah. Andrea Whatcott, Editor-In-Chief staff the V Magazine Celeste Tholen Rosenlof Editor Clark Goldsberry Assistant Editor Elyse Taylor Designer |
