Coming to DVD this February Luke Hickman Movie Editor This February is a good time to catch up on the movies you might have missed from last year. Many of the good ones hit the shelves this month. Feb. 7 Just Like Heaven - Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo star in this romantic comedy about a guy who falls in love with a dead girl's ghost. (Guys, this might be good for Valentine's Day). Elizabethtown - After his father's death, Orlando Bloom returns to his father's origins in Kentucky to learn about life with the help of an inspiring acquaintance (Kirsten Dunst). You can't go wrong with a Cameron Crowe film. Doom - After going through another sappy Valentine's, you might need to feel like a man again by seeing The Rock in a mindless action movie. Waiting... - Ryan Reynolds (Just Friends) and Co. show us the filthy underbelly of the restaurant industry in this disgustingly amazing comedy. Feb. 14 Saw 2 - For those of us guys who are alone this day. it is a good horror movie with a surprisingly good story. I'm not kidding. Saw 2 is a great movie! Proof - Gwyneth Paltrow plays a woman who is afraid that she might have her father's, mental illness that eventually took his life. Feb. 21 Rent - If you're into music, theatre, dance, or homosexuality, check out this film rendition of the Broadway play. North Country - See the effective film that shows up the beginning of women's rights and sexual harassment laws and earned Charlize Theron and Francis McDormand Academy Award nominations, Feb. 28 Pride and Prejudice - Take my word, this version of this "told-too-many-times" story is more tolerable than the others! Keira Knightley earned an Oscar nomination for her performance. The Ice Harvest - You can't go wrong with a John Cusack movie. In this one, he's just stolen millions of dollars from his mob boss and the ice storm is only the smallest of his roadblocks keeping him from leaving town with it. Oliver Platt plays his best supporting role yet! ina You t '•','*•<•-"•"-' '"• Qualified Managers For our Pre-Season Better Better Rubber cluclcij SOIJS ••read 801-655-5605 dish • r T 866-DIS.H-001 i i h Vision Satellite (ho C0II090 times" |
