Adoption of the Constitution was the first step in implementing its survival and ratification of the first ten Amendments was a major second Because of the great imstep. portance of the Bill of Rights, it seems most appropriate that December 15 should also be commemorated throughout the United States, at least by those people who honor and respect the Constitution of the United States of America. 200 with Capt. Mr. Allen has been offered large sums of money to show X rated movies in his theater. Although struggling at times to pay the bills, he steadfastly refused to show bad movies. He knows the effect such movies have upon the people. Instead of selling his scruples for easy money, he and his wife Sybil thought of another idea. The musicians and players were local citizens and amateurs. But they were magnificent. This writerand his family thoroughly enjoyed the performance. As a father, this writer has been most impressed with the Allens and the entire crew and cast that made this production possible. This production was not just a commercial venture. It was an honest-to-gos- h move on the part of some very fine people to provide some outstanding and wholesome entertainment for their neighbors in the community. They are people who care about morality, about their community and about their country. This shows what can be done by a group of people to strengthen the backbone of America by uplifting her citizens. Congratulations to LaMont and Sybil Allen and all the fine people who brought SHOW BOAT to Pleasant Grove, Utah. A nation just cannot have good government when the people ignore the basic fundamental concepts of morality and honesty. In this column this writer has often brought to light various acts of corruption on the part of government officials. And it is true that we must not ignore these problems we must face them squarely in order to resolve them. In this article, however, attention is turned to a bright spot, one of many of course, among the people of our nation.
