President Hamilton has asked that we reach Utahs e high 1C, 017 members. This needs to be completed by May 31. Mr. Hamilton encourages counties who havent reached quotas to make every effort to do so. The following are in that group: Beaver, Cache, Davis, Duchesne, Kane, Millard, Sanpete, Uintah, Weber and South all-tim- Box Elder. A - few more members from counties over quota would greatly facilitate this goal requested by the President. All of your efforts & programs are appreciated. San Juan Holds Meet A large crowd attended the annual Farm Bureau banquet held March 3 at the High School. Guests from the state office included Jake Fuhriman, Field Supervisor, accompanied by Mrs. Fuhriman, and Kenneth Brasher, District Chairman of Huntington. The Womens Committee and a delicious served prepared steak banquet. Mr. Fuhriman showed the film about the Delano grape boycott. It gave testimonies of the farm laborers who suffered because of the boycott. The laborers told how they wanted to go back to work, and that they and their families were happy the boycott was over. They stated that they were forced to join the which allowed them no voice vote. or It is a very touching story and makes your heart ache for those unfortunate workers-b- ut how soon before Chavez will be boycotting the other farm products??? UF-WO- C Utah Com Growers Met April 14 A meeting of the Farm Bureau Com Growers Committee took place at the Utah Farm Bureau board room, April 14, 1972. The feeling of the members of the committee seemed to be that the best thing to do at this time, is to give the new facility at Spanish Fork a good trial this year and see if the new improvement there will solve the problem.
