Olaf George, President of Salina told the Marketing Service, stockholders that this nearly 425 percent increase in the number of animals being sold through the auction was a result of the ex- cellent equipment and good management of the auction. Whereas the auction had originally operated only one day a week it now operates each Tuesday and Friday with sheep and hogs being sold on Tuesday and cattle on Friday. The Salina acution was developed under the auspicious of the Utah Farm Bureau Federation and after construction of the facility it was leased to the Producers Livestock Marketing Association. Manager of the auction is Aaron Moss. Members elected to the board of directors of Salina Marketing Service included Olaf George, Jerold Johnson, Elmo Hamilton, Hugh King, Paul Nelson, Konroy This modern livestock auction located at Salina has experienced a percent increase In animal numbers since completion.
