Announce-me- nt of the selection of Mr. Grimes for this important post was made during the week by the governor-elec- t anti apparently the selection meets with general approval. Mr. Grimes has had experience in the office to which he has been named, having served in that capacity under former Governor Simon Bamberger. After filling that position for some time Mr. Grimes was to the state board of equalization and has served well in that capacity. The secretaryship is the only appointment that has been indicated as yet by the governor elect but it is expected that other choices of the new governor for appointive positions will be made known in the near future. There are a number of important positions to be filled and there is much interest on the part of the public as to who will be selected for these places. ap-ponit- de She Said So,Ahyway Fixing Index Number Is a device commonly used for measuring changes In wholesale and retail prices, and rates of wages over long periods of time.
