Show j Frosh Program Readied i By John Clarke Staff Writer 1 The Orientation Planning Committee Com-mittee chaired by Peter D. Grund-fossen, Grund-fossen, assistant dean of students; and aided by student Greg Spencer, Orientation Research and Training assistant; is compiling last minute details for freshman orientation program. The objectives of the orientation i program are two: 1) To increase ' the students' knowledge of the University Uni-versity and its services, 2) To increase in-crease the students' concern for commitment, to and identification with the University. Summer Orientation The summer orientation program I wm commence with a general assembly as-sembly in the Union East Ballroom I on June 21 at 9.30 a.m. At this ses- ! sion students will be welcomed to the University and introduced to . reference group leaders, who are especially trained upperclassmen prepared to acquaint students with available University services and answer questions posed by the students. At noon, all freshmen and transfer trans-fer students wiU be guests of the University of Utah at a luncheon in the Union Ballroom. During the afternoon hours, students will be consulting their academic advisors advis-ors and arranging tentative class schedules. June 22, the students will register regis-ter and make final preparations for the start of classwork on June 24.
