There were 36 participants Rom both Uintah and Duchesne County. Seven particid pants competed in the colt class. Their events were showmanship at halter, western pleasure, and western reining. The others competed in three different age groups: seniors, intermediates, and juniors. The events were showmanship at halter, bareback equitation, western pleasure, barrels, poles, and scurry. The participants appreciate Wendy Winn and all the people who helped her put together a great show. colt class places The were as follows 1st, Charles Jones on Charlie with 32 points; 2nd, Kandice Mathews on Kissy with 28 points; 3rd, Lorie Chivers on Spook with 26 points; 4th, Deanna Coon on Kazam with 18 points; and 6th, 1 leather Lindsay on Shooting Star with ten points. The Senior places were as follows 1st, Tiffany Lance on Scooter with 80 points; 2nd, Brittanny Murray on Cougar with 68 points; 3rd, Lorie Chivers on Cache with 62 points; and 4th, Heather Robinson on Cleo with eight points. Intermediate places were as follows 1st, Canon Miles on Snickers with 64 points; 2nd, Aleshia Perry on Ginger with 62 points; 3rd, Alayna Monsen on Jake with 56 points; 4th, DeAnnna Coon on Dusty with 38 points; and 5th, Hayden Hardman on Rusty with 29 points. The Junior places were as follow 1st, Angela Petty on Flash with 62 points; 2nd, Slade Witbeckon BJ with 58 points; 3rd, Hillary Murray on Taffy with 49 points; 4th, Elisabeth Jones on Cracker Jack with 42 points; and 5th, Sydnee Justice on Buck with 41 points. The 2002 Uintah County 4-Queen and Princesses competition will be held on Friday, June 14 at Western Park at 6 p.m. Deadline ftr applications and portfolios will be Monday, June 10 by 5 p.m. at the USU Extension Office at the State and County Building, 3rd floor. The next Uintah County horse show will he on June 15 at Western Park. Clarence and Ida Foy and the Harold Geea sure had lots of ftin in their lives. Clarence and Ida were married in July of 1934. He was buried in the Washington, Utah cemetery. Neil and Rhea Carter of Cedar City have been up to spend several day with Rhea's sister, Venla Gee. They have been very busy helping Venla get caught up on things. On May 17 the Senior volunteers were all honored at a recognition ceremony at the Crossroads Senior Center at noon. The event was sponsored by the Uintah Basin Association of Governments.
