Christensen Zane John Christensen, 67, Talmage, died Thursday, April 30, at the Duchesne County Hospital. He was born September 10, 1924 in Mayfield, Utah to Marion and Eva Anderson Christensen. He married Flora Julia Bryant November 17, rancher and cattle buyer, was known from coast to coast. Locally, he contributed greatly to the improvement and progress ofhis community and to the whole Basin and its residents and was highly regarded for his great integrity in all his association and dealings. He supported and helped the youth as they prepared for and showed their stock at fairs and sales. He was a veteran of the US. Navy, serving during WWII. He loved life and lived it fully, but his first priorities were Mmoma and their girls. He always wanted the best for his family and loved to camp and picnic with them. He had special feelings for his grandchildren and was expecting his first great grandchild. He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Doug (Julie) JeBsen, Talmage; Mrs. Larry (Lori) Fisher, Boneta; Sandra Lamb, Altonah; and Mrs. Robert (Kathy) Meeks, Mountain Home; 11 grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers, Lorna Jensen, Eva Jane Rowley, Jess Christensen and Paul Christensen, all of Talmage. He was preceded in death by brothers, Eari, Mike, Dee and Benny. Funeral services were held Monday, May 4, at the Moon Lake Stella Muse S. Muse LDS Ward chapel, Mountain Home. Burial in the Talmage Cemetery with military honors. She was a lifelong resident of the Uintah Basin and lived many years in the Willow Creek and Meadow Creek areas south of Ouray. She loved to garden, hunt and fish. She also enjoyed sewing, made lots of quilts, made Barbee doll clothes and doll houses and did a lot of canning. She was a member of the D.U.P. 7 Tracy Roberta and Friendship Club of Duchesne. She was a member of the LDS Mr. and Mrs. Aldain Thomas, Church, went to Provo Temple in Provo, visited Erma Thomas and Mr. May 1985 and was sealed to her and Mrs. Craig Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Jones, Salt Lake, visited Mr. and Mrs. Lean Casper and Ray and Carole Jones over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Parkhurt and family, California, visited Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gines and family. They left the children with Dale and Linda while they went on a trip to Mexico. Ferron Gines came home Tuesday from Roosevelt hospital after he had suigery a week ago.
