I fil l--r ? yi1 Speech disorders workshop at USUEC . .J J s V s A Motor Speech Disorders Workshop will be held Nov. 2, 8 end 4 through the Utah State University Education Center. The workshop will be taught by Dr. Jay Jensen from Utah State University. The workshop will run from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday. The course carries two credit hours. All classes will be at the Roosevelt office of USUEC. r A contract has been awarded to the Hajco Construction Co., Salt Lake, for the construction of an earth dam with pipe outlet structures and an emergency spillway in Uintah County. The contract, in the amount of $139,890, was awarded by the Bureau of Land Management. According to Bart Bennion, BLM engineer, the structure will be located about 30 miles southeast of Myton, primarily for the purpose of flood control. The students constructed a puppet wall of cardboard and paint and made puppets out of paper sacks, socks, beads and buttons. They presented the puppets in laugh-in- " style, reading a series of riddles and jokes as they animated, the puppets. BLM updating land use plans south of Myton The Bureau of Land Management is starting to update the land use plans for public lands south of Myton from the Green River west to the Utah County line and from the southern Duchesne County line north to the Ashley National Forest and the Uintah & Ouray Reservation boundary. The land use planning update will be prepared prior to an environmental impact statement on livestock area, grazing in the planning according to Ralph' Heft, BLM Area Manager. Every use is not suited to every acre and some uses conflict with others, Mr. Heft said.
