The tinsel tour replaces the annusl Culture Club doll project. Mrs. Ellen Kaw lings i chairman of the lour, assisted hy Iietty mart, Lorraine Wilcken and other Cult ure Cluh members. Four tour homes will be described each tseek. The Bob Sather's home is Number One the Holiday Tinsel Tour being sponsored by the Culture Club Dec. 13. This home has many interesting unusual features. The living room is decorated in Chinese Motif featuring ivory statues, figurines and works of art. The ivory carvings alone are a delicate accent that add much interest to the home. The inlaid tile in the kitchen adds color, is creative and decorative. The Sather's is the only home on the tour with an indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna bath. Mrs. Sathers Bonnie) finds room in her lovely home for their six grandchildren to visit. The Dr. Terry Buxtons home is built on an acre of ground which provides an unusual landscape setting for this home. This spacious home has a beautiful rock fireplace which extends through the had and into the living room. The treatment of paneling used in this home gives variety and enhances the lovely decor patterns. The next home on the tour, the Mirl Jennings home, is one of the newer homes in the area. The interior is tieautifully done in white brick with black on and Mrs. Charles "Smiley" Denver's home is decorated with a warm, personal touch which includes a Ben Franklin fireplace in the center of their family room. and Mrs. Bob Sather's ivory carvings promise to be one of the highlights of the Mr. Mr. " Holiday Tinsel Tour Dec. 1 3. The sunken living room has the latest rage in decorating colors, yellow and green. This spacious home has an upstairs balcony. Mrs. Jennings enjoys serving in her dining room which is finished with a crystal chandelier. Mr. and Mrs. Charles "Smiley Denver have been living in their new home about two years and are planning exciting things to add interest to their home. They especially enjoy their family room. Their Ben Franklin fireplace in the middle of the room very cleverly adds beauty to this area. Jennings dining room will be one of chandelier featuring a crystal the many decorating styles shown during the Culture Club Holiday Tinsel Tour. Mr. and iDtWtUl and Mrs. Terry Buxton's home on the Holiday Tinsel Tour features extensive rockwork in the hall and living room. Dr. Snyders Convalescent Villia News Residents of the Snyders Convalescent are holding a bazaar Nov. 29th from 10 o'clock a.m. to 3 p.m. Articles for sale will be handwork and craft items made by Villa the residents, and staff including quilts, pillow cases and doilies. They have also compiled a small recipe book of favorite recipes of the residents. We enjoy having the community involvement, it means a lot to the residents but it's easier to have them come just one group at a time. There will be the usual passing out of gifts on Christmas Eve and families of the residents are invited. Another thing that needs to be brought to the attention of the public at this time of year when there's a lot of illness is to ask visitors not to come to the nursing home if they have any infections or our because illness communicable patients have low resistance to infection and their welfare is our primary concern. Newcomers club holds meeting The Newcomers Club met October 20th at the Frontier Grill for their monthly meeting and luncheon. There were 17 members and 1 guest was present. The guest Cathy Amundson. A short business meeting was held. Plans were discussed for the annual Christmas Party. Vice President Trudy Kosemund and family have been transferred from the Basin and Renee' Baker will take over as Vice President Center pieces carrying the fall theme were made by Vicki Baucum and Jean Irish. Door prizes were won by Jean Meece, Leona Pachl, Ellen Hill, Gladys Onytt, Jean Smith and Kay Smith. He weighed 8 lb, 13 os. Mrs. Baum returned home Thursday. The mother and baby are doing fine, e Mr. and Mrs. Max Fabrizio are the parents of a baby boy born November 19 in Salt Lake. The baby weighed 8 lb. e Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Roberta visited Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Olsen in Springville Friday. e Mr. and Mrs. Danny Fabrizio went to Salt Lake Thursday. They visited Jean Fabrizio and Valona Fabrizio. Jean is reported to be doing better;, , Heidie Defa and Tamers Hackett spent last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Rock Harrison and baby. They brought them home and were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Crystal Hackett e Garry Pace and three other men from Air National Guard landed in a helicopter at the Tabiona school Friday. They presented an assembly and Him to the cub scouts, who gave a five flag salute. After which each of the 4 th, 5th, and 6th graders were awarded certificates for writing essays on what the "American Flag means to me. Karren Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David K. Roberts, received a $25.00 savings bond for the most outstanding essay. e Art Fabrizio came home foa a couple days after spending three weeks in Salt Lake since Jean had been operated on. e Jennie Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Defa went to Salt Lake Thursday when Andrew kept a doctori appointment. e Florence Allred of Ogden spent a few days this week visiting Mr. and Mr. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Alexander. After which they attended the play (Royal Hunt of the Sun) at the BYU. e Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Miller and family attended the automobile show at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City Friday, e A large group of people from throughout the basin attended a Know Your Religion' session at the Roosevelt Stake Center Saturday evening.
