Show Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Barnes Roberts and Tipping plan Texas spring tcedding Kammerman and Park and Mrs. Dennis Barnes to wed in Murray married in Las Vegas Mr. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Bates of Vernal and the late Phyllis Messer announce the marriage of their daughter, Juanita Renee Bates, to Dennis K. Barnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Barnes of Ml View, Wyo. The couple were married in Las Stephanie Kammerman, Vegas, Nev. on Jan. 3, 1991. The couple have made their home in Green River, Wyo. They are both employed by Smith's Food and Drug King. The groom is the stem director in Green River. The bride is a checker in Rock Springs. Ladles of Elks learn about VFW In their February meeting, the Ladies of Elks were given the opportunity to learn more about the new post of the Vernal VFW. Post Commander, Duane Hall explained what is being done to establish the VFW organization. He said that boxes were prepared last month and Valentines were sent to the service men and women stationed in Operation Desert Stum. He also told them of the upcoming projects planned during the upcoming year. At present, the post is putting together a list of all veterans of foreign wars. Reports were made on Camp Wapiti and discussed the hand made articles to be handed in by the next meeting for the camp boutique. Donations were discussed for Girls State also. The next meeting will be on March 8. daughter Patti Roberts, daughter of George and Donna Roberts of Snyder, Texas and formerly of Vernal will become the bride of Damon son of Tip and Phylis Tipping, of Texas in a Monahans, Tipping spring ceremony planned for April 6 in Monahans, Texas. A reception will follow the ceremony. Roberts is a 1983 graduate of Monahans High School and a 1989 graduate of Texas Tech University High School and is employed by the of Keith and Donna Kammerman of Jordan Credit Union. Beaux Arts Club discuss book on Barbara Bush by Ada Murray Charlie Gardner entertained those attending dinner on Wednesday at the Golden Age Center. He sang and played music for one half hour.
