Show J. C. YVilkerson Obituaries ff f Charles 0. Gardner r v v ww W'4TW Charles Orxin Gardner, 93, Roosevelt, died of pneumonia, January 6 in a Roose- velt nursing home. He was born September 12, 1880 in Payson to Henry E. and Mary Patterson Gardner. He marMae ried Laura Oberhansly, January 14, 1903, solmonized in the Salt Lake LDS 25, Temple February 1909. in resided He Clinton, (now Birdseye) where he was engaged in ranching and the mercantile business. He served on the Utah County board of education, and was road supervisor. He was also Sunday school super intendent for the LDS Church. In 191C. he moved to Payson and a year later moved to the Uintah Basin. He purchased a cattle ranch in the Hayden area, was town constable for many years and was president of the cattlemans association. He was road supervisor and kept a store and post office. He and his family lived here for 51 years. Survivors include his widow, sons, Funeral services were held Monday, January 7, in the Neola LDS ward chapel for J. C. (Con) Wilkerson, 85 of Duchesne who died January 4 in a Roosevelt hospital of natural causes. He was born May 18, 1888 in Ranch, Kane county Utah, to William and Rachel Painter Wilkerson. Seven brothers and one sister preceeded him in death. Con married Barbara Mae Workman, November 16, 1914 in Vernal. His early life was spent in Ranch and he moved to Paclur in 1908 when he was twenty years old. Packar was located 1 Vi miles east of Neola. After he married, he and his family spent three years in Lovell, Wyo., and two years in Manilia. Forty eight years was spent as a rancher and farmer in Neola and Whiterocks. For the past six years he has been in Duchesne, where two of his sons are in business. Survivors include his wife, sons, daughter, Arbun C., Ioka; Jennings daughters, Stanford 0. (Ford), Roosevelt; Bert R. Salt Lake; Mrs. Paul (Bernice) Nelson, Mrs. Beryl Root, Mrs. The-ro(Fawn) Leavitt, all Roosevelt; Mrs. Lester (Melba) Swain, Ogden; 21 grandsisters, children, 25 Mrs. Della Spencer, Salt Lake; Mrs. Sylvia Black, Payson. The funeral was held in the Roosevelt IDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Payson City cemetery. n Woodrow. Neola; Dale Edward Workman, Curl, both of Duchesne. Mrs. Raymond Violet Voss, Evanston, Wyo.; 33 32 great grandchildren grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. One hrolher. Van of Ogden. Funeral services were conducted by Blayne Morrill. The family prayer was given by Larry Bagley. Prelude and postlude music was played by Lillian Wilkerson. Prayers were given by Iaince Voss and Rex Wilkerson. The obituary was read by German Workman. Talks were by Wood-roWilkerson, Gerald Wilkerson and Terry Wilkerson. Musical numbers were by Bert Ames. Bill Workman and Donnie Wilkerson; Hillery and Thelma Workman. Dedication of the grave by Kenneth N. Wilkerson and burial was in the Neola cemetery. Tyson G. Miller Tyson Gilbert Mdler, infant son of W. Lyn and Itcnae Gilbert Miller, died January II in a Salt Lake hospital of com- Joyce Amelia Accutoroop Serawop, 36, Randlelt, died December 30 at Ft. Duchesne, of causes pending a medical examination. She was born August 21, 1937 to Wesley and Margaret Kanapatch Accutoroop in Ft. Duchesne. She married Clifford Serawop, in 1953 at Ft. Duchesne. Survivors include her husband, son, daughters, Max Emmette, Hope, Faith, Paige, Constance, April, all Randlett; a brother, Duane Kelly, Livingston, Texas; half brothers, half sisters, Mathew Arrive, Sheridan, Wyo.; Myron Accutoroop, Dennis Accutoroop, Chris Accutoroop, W'esley Accutoroop Jr., all Randlett; Armon Accutoroop LDS Mission, Texas; Cherlene Serawop, Provo; Alene Arrive, Karen Accutoroop, Christine Accutoroop, all Randlett; Helen Wash, Ft. Duchesne; Wanda Williams, Ignacio, Colo. The funeral was held in the family home in Randlett and burial was in the Randlett cemetery. Francis Calkins Johnson, Roosevelt, died January 7, in a Roosevelt nursing home of natural causes. She was born, March 8, 1892 in Houston, Texas, to James L., and Ida E. Calkins. She married Joseph L. Johnson, May 20, 1915 in Globe, Ariz. She first came to the area in 1970. She was director of Christian Education at the Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix, Ariz., for several years. She graduated from the same institituion twice, once as a normal school, then 50 years later as a State University. Survivors include son, daughters, Stanley J. Johnson, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Martha E. Snyder, Murray; Mrs. Sarah B. Welnick, Phoenix, Ariz.; 23 grandchildren; 11 Sisters Mrs. Edith Mendenhall, Big Pine, Calif.; Mrs. Harry Elliott, Newhall, Calif. Funeral services were in Phoenix, Ariz.
