C Wright of North Ba- Ba Avenue Wichita Kansas was very seriously Injured in a collision about nine miles east of Duchesne Friday September 11 at 4 00 p. p m. m The Ford coupe in which Wright with two other other- occupants oc- oc Mr and Mrs John McCoy McCoy McCoy Mc Mc- Coy of Wichita were riding was struck head on by a large car driven by Mrs Van Vechten Vechten Vechten Vech- Vech ten of Chicago Mr Wright was given first-aid first treatment by Dr L. L H. H Cline and then was rushed to the hospital at Duchesne where he received further at attention His skull was f found und to have a basal fracture a and d contrary to expectations he is alive at this writing with a fair chance for re re- re covery A puncture Immediately before the crash Is believed by Mrs Van Vechten to have caused her car carto carto carto to swerve from side to side cide beyond beyond beyond be be- yond her control contro Fortunately none of the others In either car were hurt badly altho I they were bruised and shaken n considerably Both automobiles came out of the wreck considerably damaged Mr and Mrs McCoy were driving driving driving ing with Mr Wright t to the west coast and occupants of the Hie Van Vechten car were to their home in Chicago after touring the coast and intermountain territory All AU except Mr Wright were able to resume their journeys within a day or so after the accident A brother of Mr Wright Ford L. L Wright arrived from Vi Wichita hita Sunday and has remained with the injured man at the local hospital |
