Show UINTAH BASIN RECORD, DUCHESNE UTAH cend the Record fent as a Christmas to friends away from home. CCC REFLECTIONS The Reading Room The reading room is at last receiving the finishing touches, and what an improvement is will be over what it used to be. The door is on the south side now, fixed so that the wind will blow it closed instead of open. So all you fellows with correspondence courses, love letters, etc. come in and write, study or read. It is nice and warm and cozy. The lights on the side of the wall have been 'restored, although they are small. It is rumored that globes of larger size will be installed. A large chandelier will be located in the center with a switch near the door. Another light will throw light upon the bookshelves so that it will not be so hard to tell the names of the books. cCc The Dark Room Did some one lose a quarter or a penny in back of the library? Whatever it is, they sure are disturbing the good old earth. Lets hope they are digging that trench for a drainpipe for the sinks in the dark room. (They prabably are if they are not hunting quarters.) The way it is now the water has no choice but to drain beneath the library building. cCc Tinting Class A shortage of pictures to tint seems to have put the skids underneath the tinting class. Although there has not been very much activity in this line since the supply gave out, things will be up and doing again soon, because some enlargements have been made. These will tax the tinters quite a bit more than or dinary pictures, because they are reproductions of flowers. The pictures were taken in camp this summer. cCc All rated men are now required to attend a class in Leader train-ingTh- is is to teach them more about handling their jobs, and is, obviously very beneficial. cCc In Suspense Every one is still in a quandary as to what is going to materialize in the way of stub camp. It is hoped that something happens soon to relieve the tension. cCc Skating Rink Now that snow has fallen in our locality, we believe we will have some cold weather. If so, Hotpomt Calrod Speed Cooking Faster! Costs Less Than Ever! Revolutionary things have happened in electric cookery. Now you can cook faster than ever with the magic power of electricity.
