Show FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR TYPHOID VICTIM Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Monday at 2 p. m. at Bridge-land Bridge-land L. D. S. chapel under the direction of Bishop J. R. Clay-burn Clay-burn for Jason Lynn Smith, 37, who died at his home at Bridge-land Bridge-land Friday of Typhoid fever. Srieakers included Bishop West of Blcknell, Willard Day of Roosevelt Ro-osevelt and Bishop Cloyburn. Musical numbers were furnished furnish-ed as follows: "Lay My Head Beneath Be-neath a Rose," vocal solo by Floyd Ross; "Beautiful Sunset," vocal duet by Porter Merrell and Mrs. Fern Moffitt; vocal duet by Myrle Goodrich and Merle Sexton; Sex-ton; and solo by Mrs. Orson Neil-son; Neil-son; vocal quartet, Porter Merrell, Mer-rell, Aithur Goodrich, Myrle Goodrich and Merle Sexton. Burial was in Bridgeland cemetery ceme-tery under the direction of the Roy A. Schonian Mortuary. Mr. Smith was born at Thur-ber, Thur-ber, Utah, a son of John and Sarah Sar-ah Sariah Durfey 'Smith, Sept. 17, 1900. He married Ruby Edwards Ed-wards at Midway. Mr. Smith and his family came to Bridgeland 8 years ago and engaged in farming. farm-ing. Surviving are his widow and seven sons and daughters: Phyllis, Phyl-lis, Hlaine, Dan, Marie, Lawya, Theron and Kay Smith, all of Bridgeland; six brothers, Alma Smith of Bridgeland, Merin and Guy Smith of Fruita, Utah; Norman Nor-man Smith of Park City, Dwaine and Jay Smith of Oakland, California.; Cali-fornia.; five sisters, Mrs. Mandy Chldester and Mrs. Artie Taft of Bicknell, Utah; Mrs. Bell Fens-termaker Fens-termaker of Duchesne, Mrs. Ar-della Ar-della Burgener of Park City and Mrs. Norma Robb of Utahn. |
