S ward chapel Burial willbe will willbe willbe be in Afton Aiton cemetery Mr Bennion was born February February February ary 1 I 1864 near Vernon Tooele county Utah a son of John and Esther Ann Birch Bennion In 1901 he moved to Vernal where he was active in the creamery and banking businesses for many years President Wilson appointed appoint appoint- ed him postmaster at Vernal A A. lifelong member of the Democratic Democratic Democratic Demo Demo- cratic party he was active in civic affairs of Vernal and was mayor of that city from 1907 to 1911 He moved to Afton in 1922 where he has since lived He served on a mission to the southern states for the L L. L D D. D S. S church from 1887 to 1889 and in 1916 was ordained a patriarch in which capacity he acted in Uintah Uintah Uin Uin- tah Duchesne and Star Valley L. L D D. S.
