The Royal Arcanum held Its annual dance Friday evening at Unity hall. Miss Hattie Pike of St. George is in town, visiting her sister, Miss Annie Pike. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kimball spent Wedensday in the city, leaving that evening for Klmberly. Rummage sale at the First Presbyterian Presby-terian church, Saturday, April 15. Mrs. Sam Schwab of Provo, who nafc been at tho Holy Cross hospital for sometime, left 'inursday for irer home. The last of the scries of Informal hops was given Friday evening at Fort Douglas. Tho next hop will follow fol-low immediately after Easter and will bo a more elaborate affair than nny since the holiday season. The Country club opens today for tho season, and a buffet luncheon will bo served from 12:30 till 2:30. Tho usual Arbor day crowd will doubtless doubt-less be In attendance, and unless tho weather falls thoro will bo both golf and tennis. The Ladies' Literary club met Friday Fri-day afternoon at 2 o'clock at tho club house. Mrs. W. R. Wlghtman read a paper on "Tho Now School of Nature Writers," and Miss Linda Jessup discussed dis-cussed "What Does tho Modern Woman Wom-an Read?" A flno musical programme was rendered, those taking part being Mrs. Graham F. Putnam, Mrs. A. H. Peabody, Mrs. Alvah Lowis, Mrs. .1. T. Treasure, Mrs. Sheldon Butler, Mrs. D.
