Smith Rose cf Tremonton and Mr. and Mrs. PINOCHLE CLUB FETED Bonnie Glenn entertained the Pinochle Club at the Golden Bowl in Tremonton Thursday evening. Special guests were Norma Coombs and Marlene. Archibald. Prizes went to Carol Forsberg, Carolyn Larson and Marion Simmons. A lovely dinner was served. ENTERTAINS BRIDGE CLUB The Bridge Club members were graciously entertained at the home of Beth Foxley Thursday evening. Prizes went to Pearl Casey and Mildred Baer. Charles Ida. Fullmer of Rexburg, Friends were greeted at a reception in the ward cultural hall following the ceremony. The bride was attended by Mrs. Diane Brewer and Miss Linda Rose, sisters of the bride. Little Miss Yvonne Rose was flower girl. Best man was Dell Taylor. Ushers were Norman Rose and Theron Rose. The bride is a graduate of Utah State University. Her of bridegroom is a graduate Brigham Young University and has taught Art at the Bear River Jr. High school for the past three years. They will both teach Art this year. (Beverly Carol) Cobia, a Brigham City, Utah, .mother of three, has Jbecome the fourth Utahn in history to receive the coveted Certified Professional Secretary rating, it was announced Thursday by Dr. Mina M. Johnson. Dr. Johnson is dean of the Institute for Certifying Secretaries, a department of the National Secretaries Association, with headquarters in Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Cobia is one of 314 across the nation who was certified this year. She is the only Utahn to qualify in 1965. She resides with her husband and two sons and daughter at 68 South Sixth East street, Brigham City. An alumni of Stevens Henager College, Mrs. Cobia has for several years been an executive secresecretaries with Thiokol Chemical Corporation, Brigham City. She is currently on medical leave of tary absence. She attended Orem high school while living with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Salmon, Orem. To receive the CPS rating, Mrs. Cobia was required to serve for seven years as a secretary and to pass comprehensive examinations in skills and business subjects including business law, human relations, accounting, and secretarial procedures.
