Show The LEABDR Thnrsday, Aprl 17, 1952 Fielding Florence LAMAR ASHBT HOME FROM MISSION Elder LaMar Asbby, son of Mr. ) and Mrs. Ralph Asbby returned having home last week after spent the past months serving on an LD8 mission to New Zealand. Most of the time his headquarters were at Auctland. He reports having had some wonderful experiences, but is happy to be home again. A homecoming program in his honor Willi be held at the Ward chapel Sunday evening and will be happy to greet all of his friends there. Sgt. Murry Cannon, Sgt. Kent Sutherland and CpL Don Potter have all received honorable discharge from the U. S. Army and have returned home from" Camp Carson, Colorado, where they have been stationed the past few twenty-seve- n La-M- ar i with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jensen and family. Her husband, pfc. Joe Smith is stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas Mrs. W. M. Welling left Friday morning for Topeka, Kansas, where she will visit for an in- definite period with her children, Lt. and Mrs. Scott McClellan and famly. Leo Manning and son, Stanley, of Bountiful visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Pottex and family Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant MacFar-lan- d and small daughter Carolyn of Salt Lake City spent the lat ter part of the week with their parents, Smith. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mrs. Burnell Roundy accompanied by her mother, Mrs. MacFarland of Riverside, spent Thursday at Ogden. Miss Faye Coombs returned home Saturday after having spent a few weeks in Ogden, weeks. Miss Lois Clay of Hutchinson, Mrs. Lois Smith left Tuesday Kansas visited with Dale Coombs for Junction City, Kansas after Sunday. She was a missionary r having spent the past month friend of Dales. Mr. and Mrs. John Coombs and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Harris of Ogden spent Wednesday at the Logan Temple. Mrs. J. D. Munson spent the latter part of the week with her children. Mr. and Mrs. James Burt and family at Ogden. Sunday Mr. Munson Joined her and they were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Farnsworth and family. The Social Development Club met at the home of Mrs. Dan Gam Thursday afternoon for their regular meeting. Club president, Mrs. J. D. Munson, presided. The entertainment committee had charge of the program, which consisted of games which were very much enjoyed. Luncheon was served by the hostess. Mrs. Wayne Garn was a special guest. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Earl Holt on April 25th. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Rudd accompanied by Mrs. Irvin Hess of Plymiith were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hess at Malad Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Rozal Zundal and Miss Iris Coombs spent Monday at the Logan Temple. Mrs. Eva Burns attended a Mother and Daughters party at the home of Mrs. Nelda Whitney of Garland Monday afternoon. Other guests were Mrs. Louise Neilson of Deweyville, Mrs. Helen Hall, Mrs. Norma Thomas and Mrs. Gertrude n Burns of Garland and Mrs. Christensen of Bountiful. The occasion was Mrs. Whitney's birthday anniversary. A lovely luncheon was served and the afternoon spent in a social.
