Essie Peterson went to Salt Lake Sunday to attend the national convention of the Daughter! of Utah Pioneers at the Lafayette Ball Room of the Hotel Utah. There was also an election of officers to which he was a delegate. The afternoon session was a bus trip to Provo to dedicate a plaque on the old Brigham Young Academy, a tour of BYU campus and the temple grounds. Mrs. Peterson was accompanied to Hill Field by Boyd Christen-se- n and a friend Dave Barn-ha- m who had come for the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Al Fuhriman. The Stagecoach Camp will meet Friday evening at 7:30 at the home of Hazel Riser. The entire family of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Marriott were at home during Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Esther C lough entertained her Birthday Club Friday evening. The time was spent playing Bunco with prizes. Special guests were Donna Shaffer and Edna Hyer. MRS. RUTH RAMPTON at- and family. Friends of Mark A. Jackman were sorry to learn of his death which occured on April 1. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the Crestview Elementary School in Salt Lake during a school program. Mr. Jackman was principal in Thatcher Elementary School for several years and also taught at the Plymouth Elementary School. He was active In church affairs and will be remembered for the Junior Bands he organized. Services were held at the Holliday Stake Center in Salt Lake Monday.
