Utah Thursday, June 9. 1955 pullets may look normal at housing time but begin to break down a month later. Affected birds show droopiness, ruffled feathers, paleness and diarrhea. They may huddle near the heat. In older birds, the chronic form of coccidiosis is more common than the acute type. They show a gradual loss of weight and appetite, paleness, and a variable death rate. All these danger signs call for action. Control of this disease depends mainly on good management, with the help of proper medication. A poultryman who suspects coccidiosis in his flock should get a professional diagnosis before starting treatment. He should follow direction exif one ounce of a drug actly is good, it doesn't always follow that two ounces are twice as good. Plan a coccidiosis control program this year that will avoid pale, thin birds that cut profits, advises Mr. Allred. Use proper management and sanitation. MRS.
