PENROSE Mrs. Leonard Peterson To Make Home In Hawaii Robert and Lael Miller and family sailed from San Fran Cisco, California, Wednesday, for Honolulu where they plan to make their home. They visited fiere last week with Mrs. Campbell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Miller. Their daughters, Alice Ann and Kathy, spent the past with month visiting their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson and daughter of Sacrament, California visited last week at the Miller home. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Johnson of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Orton of Price, visited with the family Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leak visited in Brigham City Sunday with Mrs. Leak's mother, Mrs. Effie Petersen. sons Dee, Terry, Kent and Mark returned Sunday from a week's tour of the Northwest. They visited the Glacier National Park and the L. D. S, Temple at Cardston, Alberta, Canada, and had Sunday din ner at Eagle, Idaho with Mr. Petersen's sister, Mrs. Theodore Fuller and family. Mrs. Engvar Petersen is in Salt Lake City this week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marcel Palmer. The Palmer's new daughter was born September 8. M. I. A. leadership meeting was held Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Luetta Leak. Refreshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. Lawrence Petersen visited in Brigham City Tuesday FLOWER SHOW A flower show was held at M.I. A. Tuesday evening. A large number of flowers were exhibited by the women of the ward The program consisted of a talk on rose culture by Marie Petersen, a piano solo. "Narcieus" by Myrna Petersen and a demonstration on flower arrangements by Birdie Petersen, and community singing led by Joan Jensen. This was followed by a scavanger hunt ending in watermellon bust at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Holt. Bishop Orson Jensen, Scott Petersen and Leonard Petersen attended the M.I.A. con- vention at Brigham City Monday evening. Mrs. Leonard Petersen and children visited in Brigham City Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Petersen and family and with Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Petersen, who brought him home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Al Smith and Mr. Mont Smith attended the horse races at Malad, Idaho Friday and Saturday. and Mr. Engvar Petersen and Mrs. A. L. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Jenkins of Salt Lake City spent Saturday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Golden Adams. VISIT HOSPITAL PATIENT Mrs. R. J. Potter and Mrs. Jack Austin and children were in Salt Lake City Monday where they visited with Jack Austin at the Veteran's Hospital where he is convalescing after having an appendectomy performed last Wednesday. They report that he is very much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fielding and two children of Clearfield joined Mr. and Mrs. Eph Peterson at Brigham City Saturday for the Peach Day Parade, after which the party went to the old "Slough Bend" farm near Bear River City.
