On Monday Mr. and Mrs. David Cook of Syracuse, Mr. and Mrs. David Larson of Logan, Mrs. Laura Walker of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. J. Ricks Smith of California visited at the Han sen home and with other East Garland relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Smith remained for a couple of days. Mrs. J. P. Chiistensen entertained on Monday to honor her son Bruce on his birthday anniversary. There were 21 little folks who participated in the games and refreshments which featured candle lit birthday cup cakes. On' Friday the Christensens Joined with others of the Wood family at a dinner at the Owen Stokes home at Bothwell. They were entertained during the evening with movies taken by Mr. Barfuss on a recent trip to the east. On Sunday they, celebrated the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Claud Allred by having dinner at the Tally Ho at Logan. There were ten present. ' Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Potter attended the reception for Miss Bunny Reese Monday evening at the Indian School auditorium at Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Pierson had as Sunday dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Shaffer and family and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Watt and family of Layton. Mrs. L. R. Shaffer accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gleason to Southern Utah and to her birth place, Barclay, Nevada, where she attended the Woods family reunion. She was away from Saturday until Tuesday. Carl Woods of San Diego, California, spent one day last week at the Shaffer home. On Monday afternoon the Shaffers entertained (a sister, Mrs. Edith Wayland of Tooele and Mrs. Wood, her step mother, of Junction. Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Shaffer and Sherman Oyler accompanied Don Shaffer to Boise, Idaho, on Saturday. They returned on Sunday. Mary Shaffer, who has spent a month with her grandparents, returned to her home in Gannett, Idaho with Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Glead, who were here Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Ursel Rhodes and Nadine were Salt Lake City visitors on Thursday. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes and Mr. and Mrs. Lyn Larson were in Soda Springs, where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Smith. Mrs. J. W. Rhodes and Mrs. Ursel Rhodes were Logan visit-oon Tuesday. David Larson, who spent three weeks in Seattle returned home last week. While there he was on a trip up into Canada and visited other points of interest in home of Wanda Peterson. They were shown movies and were served refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Korth and lamiry attended the Simmons famliy reunion at a park in Salt Lake City on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Grover and family returned Monday night from a 4 day trip to Denver, Colorado, where they visited at Lowrey Field. They went by way of Wyoming and back over Rab bit Ears Pass into Salt Lake City. While there they stayed at the Guest House.
