Show Underwriters Lower City Fire Insurance Rates 4M Tremonton property owners. Rill welcome the news that the Utah Tire Rating Bureau has Tremonton City to National Board Class 6 instead of class 7 as in the previous classification, according to a letter from H. S. Norr, manager of the bureau to Tremonton City officials. Inspectors from the state office were in Tremonton and all specifically rated mercantile, school and industrial buildings in order to bring surveys In recognition of the general improved conditions the following approximate average reductions1 in gross fire insurance rates have been placed in effect as of July 1, 1951. buildMasonry mercantile ings 15. Masonry mercantile contents te. 9- - Frame mercantile buildings Fame mercantile contents 10. 4.Dwellings 6.7 to While 9.1. the above reductions represent the average for property as a whole within the city, changes in rates for individual buildings, other than dwellings, may vary considerably frm the average. Properties in which inspectors found increased hazards over those found in the last inspection have received lesser reductions or possibly increased in extreme cases. Proerties having conditions superior than at the last check up, have received greater reductions in proportion. In the opinion of Mayof Kleon Kerr, the general cleanup of vacant lots and alleys; greater fire protection with the two fire trucks and an enlarged volunteer fire department, and adequate water supply for almost any emergency, is greatly responsible for the reduction in insurance rates. When you renew your fire Jsurance, the Mayor cautions, check and see that your property has been reclassified. Sheriffs Office Has Busv Week Reports from the office of Sheriff Warren Hyde indicate Vol. XXVIII that the sheriff and his force have been kept busy the past few days with a minor crime wave hit tins the county.
