Show FRANCIS X DEPARTS DEPART THIS LIFE after a long illness of over a year francis X lougy died it at his residence in this city last monday feb 17 1913 he was born in the state of new yort york june 19 1835 francis X lougy was is the oldest settler in tooele thoele coant county y and thoele jocele chiy as he caroe came to thoele tooele valley in ia fall of 1849 the first year that this valley was settled which has been hi his s home ever since mr lougy was well known in this county and city and beloved and respected by all who knew him in the early settlement of the county he took an active part in the indian wars and troubles that the first settlers had to pass through and for many years his whole time was spent either fighting the indians or in hunting irame game to supply the scanty stores of his bis family and friends it is only a few weeks since his faithful wife passed away and now he roe s to meet her on the other side where the two will have a happy meeting together the funeral services were held yesterday I 1 afternoon in the south ward meeting house bishop J C orme pre arc siding the choir sang aang though deeping trials throna your way prayer by bishop edwin M atkin he choir sanz sane 1 I need thee every hour houe the speakers were elder lohn fohn A bev an who gave a very interest ng account of brother loveys life a and n d slake sake president C A orrne orme who spoke on the atonement mrs evlyn isgreen sang a solo the choir sang resting now from rain fain and sorrow john J gillett closed the services with player the interment was in the tooele thoele cemetery elder silas C orme dedicating the grave |
