Show former tooele thoele official dies in salt lake city jaimes godwin in brown 77 early tooele thoele county commissioner and a salt lake city for many years died after a lingering illness thursday at 12 10 a in in a salt lake hospital born february 18 1870 in salt lake city he was a son of james G and mary ellen martin brown he attended salt lake elementary schools and later the congregation al church school hammond hall As a young man he moved to stockton where he became ent in political circles he was elec ted tooele thoele county commissioner and also served on the school board in tooele thoele his wife the former sarah mackinson of stockton died many years ago mr brown returned to salt lake I 1 city early in the century and en the mercantile business 34 years ago he opened a store of his own retiring some years ago while in stockton he was a mem her ber of lodge no 35 of the 1 I 0 0 F and in salt Lake city he was af filia filiater ted with the wasatch lodge no I 1 free and accepted masons he is survived by two sons andi and two daughters james G and ralph j T brown alhambra california mrs alta connors san bernardino Bernard mo california i and mrs elva salt lake city two sisters mrs nellie B lemmon salt lake city and mrs rosa robinson pioche nevada and five grandchildren funeral services were conducted saturday at the masonic lodge with rev george J weber pastor of the first congregational church of ficia ting burial was in the mt alt olivet cemetery |
