Show Ida May Lee will celebrate 104th birthday Mrs. Ida May Leiter Lee, Carbon County's oldest resident, and mother moth-er of former Utah Governor, Govern-or, J. Bracken Lee, will celebrate her 104th birthday birth-day August 22 with her family at her home in Price. Ida May was born in Salt Lake and came to Price as a bride of Arthur James Lee. They were blessed with six children. Flora (Mrs. Mace Michol-son, Michol-son, Bracken, (who was named for Dr. James K. Willard Bracken, who operated a cattle ranch in the Nine Mile Creek section near Price and was best man at Arthur and Ida May's wedding), Arthur Ar-thur Lewis Lee, an inventor inven-tor of considerable fame, Robert E. Lee, Alice (Mrs. Reed Rich of Montpelier, Idaho), and youngest is Ruth (Mrs. Albert Fraser of VVinnetka, 111.). Ida May was educated at Hungerford Academy in Springville, a Protestant Protest-ant church school. Her parents were William Henry and Cornelia Hutchings Leiter. Ida May lost her dear husband, Arthur, in 1934 in Salt Lake, and she has been a widow for forty-four years. |
