Show Missile Range Personnel Aids Hospital During Power Failure WHITE SANDS MISSILE Range, N. M. December 23 possible tragedy was averted avert-ed by White Sands Missile Range personnel last week when an Indian hospital in southeastern Utah lost all heat and power during sub- freezing temperatures. The employes, members of the ranges Utah Launch Com-plx Com-plx at Green River and Blanding, were credited with quick and effective action following a call for help from Monument Valley Hospital. They provided a 100-kilowatt generator and technicians vitally needed to restore power pow-er at the facility. The power failure, according accord-ing to Muray Maughn, chief of the Utah operations, occurred oc-curred about midnight. Officials Of-ficials at the Navajo Reservation, Reser-vation, where the hospit.il 11 located, contacted the Army's Blanding facility. By 2 p.m. full power and heat was restored. re-stored. ' During the period the highest temperature recorded record-ed was 17 degrees. Mr. Maughn said the Army generator was trucked from Blanding to Monument Valley, Val-ley, a distance of 75 miles, by Dynaleetron Corp. personnel. per-sonnel.
