If my services were good, would to make a you like PAYMENT VOLUNTARY OF $.75? Thank you very much! During the first week of each new month some young girl or boy has been coming to your house (or should have been) and introducing themselves to you letting e was the you know that one who took the time to put your newspaper on your Hi! My he-sh- porch every (occasionally Wednesday Thursday) afternoon or evening. If it took the e was raining, time to put it in a plastic bag to keep it dry. Now it is time for you to decide whether or not this young person did well enough to warrant a $.75 voluntary payment. The questions you must ask yourself is (1) Did I receive my paper EVERY week? (2 Was that paper put at my door within easy reach? (3) Was it dry on a wet day? (4) Has this person been careful and shown respect for my lawn and e flower beds? Has done any damage to my e property? (5) Is courteous and cheerful when they approach me for the PAYMENT? VOLUNTARY he-sh- he-sh- he-sh- NT? If the 1 answer to these YES then that are questions carrier has done a good job jand has given good seftice. If the answer is NO to some of them, then this arrief' "has not performed orrali job as well as is expected. Be sure to let that carrier know what you dont like and what your wishes are. If the problem is corrected then that carrier e is has shown that trying hard to please you. The statement has been made that future lies in the hands of the children. I am one parent that wants my children to grow up being aware of people, business, and most important WORK. If we fail to support our young people in their efforts to work at an early age, chances are they will fail us when they get older. The Voluntary Pay System is very important to all of us. It supplies our young people with job training and higher earnings. The amount of money they earn is directly related to the effort put forth. This definitely is a strong teaching situation. These young people KNOW in advance they will get a certain amount of pay. They also KNOW that if they go a little farther in their efforts, inthey can substantially crease that amount. IT all depends on the individual. his-he- r he-sh- We are happy to report that quite a few of these kids have saved up their bonus points and received prizes. Some of the prizes received Cox were Airplanes, basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, electric pencil shargear, camping pener, necklaces, telescopes and other small items. The Clearfield carrier earned themselves a Pizza Party at the Clearfield Pizza Hut. Can you believe they ate worth of Pizza? The North Roy area including Riverdale) and the South Roy Area (including Sunset) are working harder to earn their pizza Party! Keep on trying kids we are all pulling for you! Another benefit from the Voluntary Pay System is that the kids do not have to pay for their bags now nor do they have to buy their rubber bands. The program supplies the paper with money to do more things for the kids than could be done before. Stahle Publications wants to help the carriers in as many ways as possible. In order to do this, it takes a certain amount of finances. $150 Lets face it, we all know that a penny just doesnt do what it used to! Kids are the first ones to realize that the penny candy isnt around any longer. It takes a long time to save those pennies to get one small item. Now the kids can receive that penny, PLUS. They can receive from $.15 to $.30, per .customer at Carrier Turn-I- n time to put directly in to their pocket. They receive bonus points which they can cash or save and they can order prizes from their prize books. They try hard to make the CARRIER OF THE MONTH. This entitles them to a very nice plaque, 1,000 bonus points ( if cashed would equal $10 cash) and a $15 cash bonus. To make Carrier of the Month they must deliver their papers to the door, collect month, every represent the paper in the Ticket sales and Rode Awards will be presen'd ; an assembly on May l, a 1 p m. here at school daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Williamson, Jana Horspool, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Horspool. grade Princess, Monique Charlesworth, daughter of Carol and Kenneth Charlesworth.
