In 1951 he sold the business to Parley Oleson and went into real estate business with Robert Carmichael in the Roy Realty Co. He remained with the company until he happened to sell a home to Monte Smith in 1954. They have been partners ever since. The Mansfields have two children, Elizabeth Ann who is married to Mike Parker and Dennis, 15. Mr. Mansfield is a charter member of the Roy Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Roy Kiwanis Club, past president of the Roy Toastmasters Club, served two years as chairman of the Roy City Arbitration Board, four years as president of the Fifth Quorum of Elders and is presently a teacher in the Roy Fourth Ward Sunday School and a ward teacher. IN ADDITION to his partnership with Mr. Smith, Mr. Mansfield is also a partner with Lloyd Berrett m a service station and car wash business in Phoenix, Ariz. His wife, Annis, is at the present time, president of the Weber Basin Homebuilders Auxiliary and a "Pink Lady" volunteer worker at the Dee Hospital. She is also active m the ward auxiliary organizations. RALPH L. (MONTE) SMITH was born in an old mining camp m Tooele County but was raised in Lehi. After graduating from high school he worked in a hotel in Idaho Falls, Idaho for 31 2 years. After his marriage to Nellie Black-wel- l in 1937 he went to work for the Standard Oil Co. He became superintendent and manager of stations all over the state with headquarters in Salt Lake City. In 1943 th Smiths moved to Clearfield where he managed his own service station and auto parts company. He organized the Intermountain TV Co. in Clearfield and Ogden in 1951. Because Roy was more centrally located between the two, he contacted Burton Mansfield to buy a home in Roy. Shortly afterward he became associated with Mr.- Mansfield in the real estate business. THE SMITHS have a son Monte Jr. who is presently president of the mission branch where he is serving on a two year LDS mission. They also have two daughters, Ann who is 18, and Christine 13. Mr. Smith is a hunting, fishing and trapshooting enthusiast. He is a member of the Ogden and Weber Cun Club, the Pin Tail Duck Club, a charter member of the Roy Chamber of Commerce, vice president of the Roy Kiwanis Club this year; president of the Weber Basin Homebuilders Assn., and a member of the Ogden B P.O.E. and the FOE. Mrs. Smith was president of the Weber Basin Homebuilder's Association Auxiliary last year. Folk-maof Hooper, who was united in marriage to Wayne Leighton Wessel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wessel of Roy. The rites were solemnized on Friday, Sept. 11, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, with Elder Herbert Burgon officiating. A RECEPTION to honor the young couple was held in the Lake View Stake House following the wedding. The bride choose a princess style gown of white pcau de soie trimmed with alcncon lace fashioned with a floor length bouffant skirt and chapel train.
