Varden Willson, age 69, passed away Feb. 13, HELPER - Lucy Margaret Richeda, age 72, passed away Feb. 13, 2002 in Price. She was born April 16, 1929 in Helper to Edward and Minnie Bruno Richeda. Member of the Catholic Church. Lifelong resident of Helper. Member Stella DAmerka Louge 77, where she was the financial secrctaiy for the ladies lodge fiir many yean. Lucy worked as the secretary for Helper Junior High for 10 years, 19years for Sears & Roebuck as audit manager and later retired from I lelper city as city recorder with 13 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed her Wcndovcr trips and will be dearly missed by all. Survived by her sister, Olive M. Richeda, Helper, numerous cousins; and a community of lifelong friends. He married Lucille Piccolo on Feb. 16,1951 in Huntington. Their marriage was later solemnized in theManti LDS Tfcmple on July 22,1978. Varden never had an idle day in his life. He worked for Sears for 33 years, then at the Hunting-to- n Cleveland Irrigation Co., as its secretary fin' the past 14 years. He also was the Utah state river commissioner for the post 14 years. Also survived by eight loving grandchildren; and a sister, Vonda and Joe Hadfield, Tboele. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; one sister; and son, Robert Navon Willson. He was politically active as well. He served as the mayor of Elmo and also an the town council. He was a delegate to the state Democratic convention several times. Vardens love of the outdoors and animals started at an early age. He was active in the H organization from the time he was 8 years old. He worked actively in the Southeastern Junior Livestock Show for 20 years. He was happiest when he was working with the land or the animals with his kids. He stood as a beacon of integrity to his family and all who knew him. He will be greatly mimed, but forever revered. Ferderber passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002. George was bora July 21, 1916 in Walsenburg, Colo., the seventh son of Anton Ferderber and Tferessa Stidahur Ferderber. He married Helen Fabrizio at St. Anthony Church in Helper on June 17, 1944. He graduated from Huerfano Colorado High School. He moved to Utah in 1942 and worked in the coal mines in Carbon County and Colorado for over 40 years. George was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge of Price and also a member of the UMWA District 1681. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His greatest times were spent fishing, hunting and camp- family. Joy loved life and all that life could offer. She is fondly remembered by husband, Levi; sister, Phyllis linn, Minnesota; brothers, Butch" Gammon, Minnesota; Lott She is also survived by 41 , gtandcMdien,50grcat-graakh-t dren with more on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
