Show THE Thursday, November 22, 1962 Carbon Approximately SUN-ADVOCAT- PRICE, UTAH E, of shaw, Douglas Litster, Keith Golding, Kurt Gumbrecht, and Danny Golding of Wellington. 400 members parents, and leaders met at the Price Municipal Building Thursday evening, November 8th, for the annual Achievement program. Mrs. Celia Fossat, president of the Leaders Council, presided at the exercise at which awards were given for the years accom4-- plishments. The Utah Banking Association was represented at Achievement night by Calvin A. Jewkes of the Carbon Emery Bank. Mr. Jewkes represented the Bankers Association in giving awards which axe made possible by the Association. Among these awards are member pins, certificates of comar pletion, and gold seals. Commissioner Albert Santi represented the County at the meeting and assisted in giving the completition awards provided by the county. Both the commissioner and the key banker gave short talks and Mr. Jewkes also sang a special song. Other items on the program were community singing led by Marilyn Gardner, accompanied by Miss Margaret Sidwell; song by Sharon Shaw; prayer by Wayne Mathis; pledge led by Paula Dimick, the pledge of allegiance by Charmain Barnes, remarks by Mrs. Clara Schofield, home agent, and Robert Hassell, county agent. Mrs. Jean Christensen, vice presid dent of the Leaders Council, a corsage to Mrs. Fossat, retiring president of the Council, in recognition of her services during the past year. Major awards were then presented by Airs. Vernon Wilson of Price received a bill-fo- d for his eight years in work. Lynn Turnbull of Dragerton; Alarilyn Gardner and Alargaret Sidwell of Helper; Janet Prince of Hiawatha, and Nancy Pace, Patricia Schofield and Patsy Waterman of Price each received a pair of pinking shears as their award for nine years in work; and Hank Hassell was presented with an engraved paper weight for his nine yeais. The award for the girls was a set of three pairs of scissors which went to Karen Keele of Dragerton, and Judy Costello of Helper. A 10- - year pin will be presented to Jess Larsen. A set of tools was awarded to the following winners of the H archery contest: Randy Johnson of Carbonville, Kim Spigarelli, Price, and Alichael Alasearo and Joyce Bruno of Helper.
