After a short wedding trip, the couple will return here to spend the summer. In September they will leave for Salt Lake City, where Mr. Nelson, who has been attending the University of Utah, will continue his studies there. The bride has been a popular, prominent student at Carbon high school and Carbon college. She is well known in musical circles. Last year she attended the Brigham Young university where she was affiliated with the O. S. Tro-va- ta social unit. The Orthodox church in Denver will be the scene of the wedding on July 2, with a reception following in the crystal room of the Shirley-Savo- y hotel. Johnson. Following the nuptial rites the or-pi- nk es bride and groom and family members were honored at a wedding breakfast given by Mrs. Cliff Warren at the Warren home. The popular couple then left for a honeymoon trip through San Francisco and southern California. Upon their return a wedding reception was given in their honor on Saturday evening, June 17, at the Fassio home. Background music was furnished by Mrs. Ruel Redd. Vocal solos were sung by Mrs. Fred Fijacko. Assisting in the guest room were Mrs. Calvin Johnson, Mrs. Glen Lloyd and Miss Lorna Shelton. Serving were Miss Margaret Redd, Mrs. Don Thorpe and Mrs. Loren Johnstun. For the occasion Mrs. Fassio wore a gown of gold crepe while Mrs. Johnson chose a brown and white floral print. Both wore gardenia corsages. A graduate of Carbon college, the bride was prominent In campus activities and was vice president of the Pi Gamma Chi sorority. She also attended the Brigham Young university. Mr. Johnson graduated from the Brigham Young university in June with a degree in business administration. The newlyweds are making their home in Price. Prior to her marriage, the bride was entertained at bridal showers by hostesses, Mrs. Glen Lloyd, Miss Lorna Shelton and Mrs. Loren Johnstun. AUXILIARY All members of the Legion Auxiliary are urged to attend the auxiliary meeting to be held Friday night, June 23, at the Legion hall. Interesting features of the session will include the election of new officers, the initiation of all new members and the naming of delegates to attend the state convention. LEGION Fifteen members of the Price Legion auxiliary joined the Helper unit in a special dinner meeting held Friday night at the Helper civic auditorium. Mrs. Ruth Bott, Brigham City, state department chairman, was an official visitor and speaker. In her message, Mrs. Bott discussed child welfare, veterans rehabilitation and the poppy program. Going into detail on the poppy program, Mrs. Bott explained the difficulties encountered by disabled veterans in making the poppies and urged the auxiliaries to give their full support to the program. Mrs. Susie Richards, who is past eighty years of age and oldest member of the Price auxiliary, gave a short talk endorsing the poppy program. Mrs. Lyle Lamph, director on the Girls State counsel, and Mrs. Antone Dupin, department chairman of constitution and were also speakers. Mrs. Boyack, president of the Helper auxiliary, presided at the meeting. A tier of graduated white can-dfand a profusion of summer blossoms formed a beautiful setting for the ceremony. The lovely bride wore a wedding gown of white nylon marquisette with imported French lace trim fashioned with a fitted bodice and full skirt entrain. Matching French lace bordered her finger tip veil of illusion which was caught to a halo effect of lace and white silk orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of red roses encircled with lace. The beautifully appointed table against a mirrored background reflected an artistic arrangement of roses in a long low crystal bowl in front of white candles. Mrs. , Roberts, mother of the groom, arranged the floral decorations for the wedding and reception. During the evening Mrs, Ruel Redd entertained with background music. In charge of the refreshments were Mrs. F. R. Gudmundsen and Mrs, Blaine Thompson with Miss Pat Ballard, Miss Jean Bendall and Miss Sally Olson serving the guests.
